NECF wants to help you succeed from the very beginning of your academic experience. If
you have never attended NECF before, you will be given an English and Math diagnostic
exam prior to enrolling in any course. If you pass the exams, you can enroll in any of
NECF’s courses. If you do not pass either test, your first courses will be Basic Math
and/or Development English.
You are exempt from taking the diagnostic tests if you have an Associate, Bachelor,
Masters or Doctorate degree. You are also exempt if you have 24 or more college credits.
If you are not enrolled in a Professional Development Certificate (PDC) or Associate in Science
in Business Administration (ASBA) program, you are required to take the diagnostic exams after
you have taken two single courses.
Please contact your academic advisor at 617-951-2350 if you have any questions about this requirement.
