Frequently Asked Questions

How much is tuition?

NECF has low tuition rates and no hidden fees. View the most current price of tuition for NECF´s 3-credit college courses or non-credit Seminars.

Do you have financial aid available?

NECF currently offers three different financing options. First, if your employer offers tuition reimbursement, NECF will defer your tuition payment for 90 days from the start of class to help defray your out-of-pocket expenses. Second, through Sallie Mae, you may be eligible for the Career Training Loan to help defray your tuition costs. Third, your company may have or be willing to set up a direct billing arrangement with NECF for you and other employees. Contact NECF´s Admissions department at 617-951-2350 or 888-696-6323, or visit Financial Assistance for more information.

Can I transfer credits into NECF from another college?

Yes, NECF accepts transfer credits from most regionally accredited institutions. Once you have officially matriculated into an NECF program, NECF´s Registrar can then evaluate your transfer credits. When transferring credits into NECF, we require an official transcript, sealed and forwarded to the NECF Registrar´s Office. Transcripts in any language other than English must be translated through the Center for Educational Documentation. Also all foreign transcripts whether in English or not must be processed by the Center for Educational Documentation. Information regarding this organization may be obtained by contacting an academic advisor or by logging on to www.cedevaluations.com.

I am not sure if I am ready to go back to college. What do you recommend I take as my first class?

Depending on your concentration, there are several options for a first course. If you would like to brush up on your PC skills, Computer Concepts is a great place to start. This course is required in all concentrations. Fundamentals of Banking or Fundamentals of Financial Services are excellent courses if you have recently begun working in the financial services industry. They provide an overview of the history, purpose, and function of banking or the financial services industry.

I already have my Associate´s Degree. What can NECF do for me?

NECF´s Professional Development Certificates have been designed specifically for those students who already have their associate's degree or for those students who need to learn more about the financial services industry.

I work at night, but really want to take NECF courses. What do you recommend?

NECF´s online program is a perfect solution for someone who cannot take classes during the evening. Students can visit www.necfonline.org for a current schedule of classes. Students can also take a demo course to make sure that the online experience is suitable to their learning style.

Where is your bookstore? What are the bookstore hours?
