Students seek help and advice during their education for many reasons.
At NECF, the student comes first.
Every effort is made to develop a relationship with the student body so individuals
feel comfortable in requesting and receiving assistance.
The Office of Student Services' goal is to enhance student learning and
development by providing high quality services. It counsels and helps students
identify and implement their career plan. The Office works with students
individually, and in groups, to help them gain maximum success and benefit from
their NECF experience. This Office fosters an environment and relationship that is
safe, confidential, responsive and supportive.
- NECF Online Peer Network is a virtual meeting space which includes the Community Bulletin Board, Special Interest Groups, Campus Directory, Classifieds, etc.
- Orientation and Advising is a service made available by NECF and eCollege.
- Online bookstore services make it easy for you to buy and sell your textbooks.
- Online tutoring is available to help you get the edge and improve your homework and writing assignments.
- Library Services - NEW Library Services!
- Bloomberg Terminals & Certification Training are offered free-of-charge to NECF students. This service offers real-time financial market data and Bloomberg online certification training.
- ClassLive Pro is an online tool within your NECF courses which allow students and faculty to meet synchronously using both voice and text.
- ePortfolio is a web-based management system that allows you to build your own personal webpage and to store your documents for use in demonstrating your academic and professional accomplishments.

Workshops
The Office of Student Services offers professional development workshops designed to increase the
skill sets of students. Workshops offered in 2008 are Interviewing Skills, Presentation Skills, and
Resume Writing.
All workshops run from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm. Contact Louise Sommer at 617-951-2350 or

up. These workshops also can be delivered at your site as a "Lunch and Learn."
